Basic Research Skills

With over 1 million articles indexed on MEDLINE/PubMED every year, it becomes clear that one of the biggest challenges for a doctor today is information processing. Source selection, critical reading and identifying relevant ideas are steps that should be done quickly and efficiently. Whether you want to stay up to date with the latest scientific papers or conduct medical research on your own, BRS is the perfect workshop if you want to understand and critically appraise research projects. Modern medicine doesn’t make sense without statistics – so BRS includes an introductory lecture on medical statistics and how to apply them in SPSS, a widely-used software package for statistical analysis.
